Introduction

“Hello world” application will be used as demonstration of some of the basic TF's functionality. First we will start with vary simple example and gradually will add more interesting features like DB access, working with forms and grids, etc. It may looks to you that you will have to do things "in the dark" because there are no exhaustive explanations. Don't worry, the idea of "Hello world" is to give quick "look and feel" how the things work, detailed explanation of everything will follow in next chapters.

This tutorial assumes that you already:

downloaded and unpacked Tangra Framework (Chapter 1, Installation and configuration)
installed and configured Tangra Control Center (TCC) (Chapter 2, Initial configuration of Tangra Control Center (TCC));
created new site (Chapter 3, Creating and installing new application / site)

When above steps are completed as a starting point you will have:

Sample site called "Tangra Framework Test" based on "Jabba" site template
with site root directory /var/www/tft.
with DB called "tft"
with session stored in DB
